Maintenance Schedule

In order to minimize downtime for your water cleaning equipment, Chaffee-Ward recommends the following maintenance schedule. The procedures are based on hours of usage and are outlined in the tables below.

Heavy Duty Usage: 15+ Hours Per Week (industrial)
Medium Duty Usage: 8-14 Hours Per Week (light commercial)
Light Duty Usage: 2-4 Hours Per Week (residential)

Procedures Every 3 Months Every 6 Months Every 12 Months

Pump Oil Change

Check pump belts & pulleys

Inspect water strainers/cleaners

Check pump water volume

Check/test water nozzles

Check voltage/amperage draw

Inspection of all hoses

Inspection of electrical cables

Check for systems leaks

Inspect heating coil/combustion chamber

Oil Burner Inspection Tests

Replace fuel filter (if applicable)

Replace burner nozzle (if applicable)

Check fuel pump pressure

Check fuel tank

Check fuel system for leaks

Check solenoid valve operation

Gas Fired Inspection Tests

Check for gas system leaks

Check burner/pilot flames

Test gas valve/pilot assemblies

Gas pressure test
